The Spinal Board is a patient-handling device used in primary pre-hospital care. These boards are ideal for carrying patients after sustaining injuries requiring spinal immobilisation. The spinal board is designed to provide rigid support to a patient with suspected spinal and limb injuries.
The board is manufactured from HDPE material and has no discharge contaminator.
HSE guidance clearly states employers have a legal duty of care towards their employees. This includes arranging equipment to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if an injury occurs at work. If your risk assessment suggests your workplace could cause head, neck and spinal injuries, it would be worth considering supplying a stretcher and head immobiliser for such events.
